Ron,
I am trying to get info on whether the KR-2S is a good choice of a plane kit
for me. I am new to all this. I am 6'4", 230 lbs. and would like to build
something that doesn't take forever. I was also looking at the Sonerai, but
I don't think I would fit. Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks,
JD

Yes, Lucite is the material of choice for windows and windshields. It is not
as strong as glass. Lexan scratches easily. And, don't get ant high
solvent materials around the Lucite, such as some aerosol spray paints.

Make sure the stuff from Lowe's is Lucite (methyl methacrylate) and NOT
Styrene.

I am considering using Lucite for my Gull Wing canopy doors and
windshield. It is said to be 10 times as strong as glass It resists
gasoline. I can
get it at Lowe's for about half price of Lexan. Any comments? You may
