KR Heads, As you all know we will be voting on the location of the 2006 Gathering this week at the banquet. Something I think needs to be strongly discussed and considered in the wake of Katrina is the possible effect a KR location will have on the Gathering during hurricane season. Our KR's would not take well to riding out a hurricane so for those of you who are going to promote a location in the hurricane prone areas, please have a good plan in action to present to us in the event we are caught up in hurricane at your facility. I would think a priority in one of these areas is a hanger which is capable of withstanding such forces. Anyway, be prepared to discuss this topic at the banquet prior to the voting.
