We use the same sandwich methode on our gliders and that is what I have done on my KR2. Regards Barry Kruyssen Cairns, Australia [email protected] http://www.users.bigpond.com/kr2/kr2.htm

What I found is after a year the double sided tape looses some of it's "stickyness" at the leading edge and then on a pass the gap seal will come loose and fall to the ground. This makes things interesting for those on the ground who think something just fell off your airplane, which it did. To fix the problem I also add a piece of clear packing tape which covers the leading edge of the gap seal. 1/2 the tape is on the bottom of the wing and 1/2 on the leading edge of the gap seal. This way you have the gap seal sandwiched between the double stick tape and the clear tape. This has held up well and the problem of loosing gap seals never returned.
