You might also consider an "umbrella" policy that covers liability costs above your other insurance policies. Mine is about $400 for 1MM and covers all of my polices - auto, home, etc. Some have exclusions so be sure to check.

I pay $1/day for liability coverage on my Pietenpol Air Camper. Worth it.
