I think the rule of thumb is 1.3 X stall for approach speed.  50 mph stall would be 65 mph approach.  My heavy KR with a short wing is comfortable at 80 mph over the numbers with full speed brake down.  For an idea of how it settles on from there go to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgdgxVgPNAk

That might seem a little fast for most KR's but with all that drag it settles pretty quick below that speed.  Each KR will be a bit different, i.e., less weight, longer wings, more or less drag.
