The pitch issue sounds a lot like an aft CG issue.

We did a second W&B after the builder installed 20 inch tires for more prop clearance.  20 inch tires on a "Cruzer"?  What's not right about this picture?  I watched a video that John B. sent to me and it took that Cruzer 12 seconds to break ground.  I'm guessing he didn't have a 130hp Honda up front.  I was off the ground in three or four seconds.  I also noticed in the video that the pilot hardly ever moved the stick in pitch.  I was probably, I know I was, over controlling on takeoff.  After the flight I told the builder, with only 250 hours in Cessna's, that he attempted to go from a childhood pony to a rodeo bronc without the benefit of experiencing a quarter horse in between.  I can see why he pranged the nose gear.  I told him we'd either conquer the beast or send it to the glue factory.
