I posted a similar bug (perhaps the same because while I'm using Gnome, I have KDE installed) and the only response I received is that that's what happens when you follow random articles and the internet and PEBCAKs are a learning experience we all go through. The year of linux clearly does not lie down that road. You response, on the other hand, was refreshingly helpful.
