Benar Om mBien, sisa2 Orba memang masih dimana-mana. BEM dan Mhs saja bisa dikencingi.
Padahal, saya dulu begitu terkesan dengan liputan 6 SCTV ketika melaporkan peristiwa
Semanggi secara langsung. Apa benar memang ada perubahan disana setelah Chandra dan
riza tidak ada disana?
Atau, ketika usaha mencuri ditikungan itu kelihatannya tampak berhasil maka mereka
kembali kepada jati dirinya.
Sayang aku tidak bisa melihat Metro TV karena tidak berdigital.

Though having been criticized all over, this TV station of Sudwikatmono, the
brother of the ousted Suharto, remains clinging to the old unpopular habit
of openly mocking President elect Gus Dur. No wonder one of its good news
announcers pulled out of this station. This evening in an unpleasant talk
show, this interviewer Wide Mouth Indiarto managed to dig out from the mouth
of "McGyver" Alvin Lie an insinuation against Gus Dur such as then
fabricating a bad image of Gus Dur, the image of failing to properly respond
to the suffering of the people. But both Alvin Lie and Wide Mouth Indiarto
were equally stupid since they failed to understand that Gus Dur'
considering to obtain a private jet is due to his fragile eyes condition.
Indonesia is a geographical a very big country, too large to travel to each
future federal state by sea or land transportation. To make his operational
move more efficient, he then thought of buying one private jet and this is
not something that deserves mockery with a high pitched cynical laughing on
the open "coffee shop" counter of SCTV. Seen from a different angle, both
are not aware that they adversely turned to create a "boomerang," that is
the image of very stupid "kampungan" of themselves in their posture and
comments this evening. Singapore of course does not require any private jet
since the country is only 600 square kilometers. Japan neither requires it
since Japan does not to make a visit but to be visited due its advanced
economic position. No brainwork can of course be expected to come up from in
the impulsive cynicism made.
Gus Dur is of course not the best as president of the Indonesia but his
being a president was resulted through a very democratic system of the
country. So why mocking him? And why not mocking Suharto, the huge
manipulator? Not a single show of SCTV has ever been showing any criticism
against Suharto. Why? Because Suharto is the co-owners of SCTV, whose source
of money remains very doubtful and allegedly carrying ill-gotten wealth. If
this station is "burned down" later after Suharto is found guilty, it is
just the consequence for being loyal to a wrong course of media operations.
If BJHabibie failed to uncover massive corruption of Suiharto, Gus Dur
managed to uncover hundreds of billions of corruption including those
manipulated through the central bank. This is very fantastic. He
fantastically dared make a political penetration to fire influential army
generals. He managed to bring up civil supremacy though his move to fully
achieve it was blocked by Golkar. He managed to cut off the military support
against the rebelling areas. Then why are we bothering about small trivial
things including Gus Dur's privacy. No! This bunch of political rogues
including the TV media interviewers do not deserve proper respect in any
decent world.
