95% of the ISDN installations of the last 6 years are "National"
aka NI(enn eye)-1. Other protocol names you may see are "ATT
Custom" aka Custom, and NorTel Custom aka NT(enn tee)-1.

Stick to National. Some CPE lists "ATT/Lucent NI-1" and "Nortel
NI-1" even though in theory they are the same. (That was the
whole IDEA behind National; a switch-vendor neutral protocom..)

To make it even worse, a NT1 is also a piece of ISDN hardware; the
box that converts U to S/T bus.
