I'm not arguing that. For ISDN, there is a defined standard way of hooking up more than a single piece of gear to a S/T interface. There is not a defined way of hooking up multiple pieces of gear to a U interface. > > > Or do you think that the KX-TD systems can drive an ISDN telephone on one > > > of the extensions? > > > > I have no reason to believe this. Well, as you pointed out, the S/T interface is 4 wire (2 pair, one for Tx, one for Rx). As we all know, the Panasonic proprietary phones use a single digital pair for all the phone functions. I could believe that the KX-TD switches use a varient of a U interface to drive the phones. I suppose having an external ISDN protocol analyser would be a good thing. Taking a quick look, the only BRI boxes I found operate on the S/T bus, and are passive devices. So, I'm out of luck (as I have a U interface) for using one of these. -Kurt _________________________________________________________________ KX-T Mailing list --- http://kxthelp.com/ Subscription changes: http://kxthelp.com/mailman/listinfo/kxt
