I have received some limited information about the Dash 5 firmware, including suggestions to upgrade my Dash 4 to solve some of the problems I am having with routing DID service to Phantom Extensions.
Does anyone have any definitive information about the Dash 5 features? Specifically, other than the ability to use the new TD161 4-port door card, what new features have been added? Also, does anyone know if problems with Phantom Extensions or DID service was improved or bugs were corrected? I would consider the upgrade if it will solve some of my problems, but wouldn't want to invest in another upgrade if I don't need to, especially since I only recently upgraded to the Dash 4. Also, some people have told me that the Dash 5 is a chipset upgrade like the Dash 4 and others that it is a main board upgrade. Can anyone clarify this? Can a Dash 4 be upgraded to a Dash 5? And if it's a board change, is it a readily available part or does it require that I have the unit service by Panasonic?
