Christian,

Just to make it worse, I was technical support for another product, I spent 8 -10
hours a day answering questions
from the dealer channel and after a year I still found situations I did not know the
answer to. I was recently in
sales and our technical installer could not work out how to isolate one trunk line
from the outgoing group.

I looked at the manual (624) and would you believe it is the first programming command
to use, told the installer -
who advised me -he had tried that and it didn't work, I left a message on KXT help -
and I got answers like "are
you an idiot - this is basic telephony" - maybe not what I wanted - but they were
correct (sort of) - I was dealing
with an idiot. But this guy had been programming phone systems for 10 years - thats
why I thought he must be right.

So, try little simple things first , test that they work the way you expect -gradually
try more complicated things,
read the user guide from cover to cover and actually try every command, call fwd,
phone lock etc - test them.

It will soon become easier, or even better - find the local guy (off the list) in your
area and pay him to come in
and do the differcult stuff - ISDN etc, at least if you do the above you will be
spending your companies money
wisely.

Regards Paul
