I have a KX-TD1232 installation and could use some help.
We would like to connect a standard answering machine to the "expansion" port on one of the phones. This is supposed to be a simple procedure...
We have tried the hook up on several different phone and several different answering machines. Sometimes, the call is "passed through" and the machine picks up - sometimes, it does not. When it does pick up, it never "hangs up" - it records the message and the "please hang up the phone" message until it runs out of time.
If this is more than a simple "do-it-yourself" type of fix, I would be interested in speaking with anyone that regularly services these systems in the Nassau County/Long Island area.
