Thanks all for your help! My problem was in fact that x141 was reserved
for the 2nd cabinet...I changed it and it worked like a champ! Thanks
to all for the help! You guys are all so nice!

Subject: Re: RE: KX-T: TVS mailboxes without a real extension

Brian,

3-4 years ago, Paul was instrumental in helping me setup phantom
extensions with message waiting lights on a DSS console. I've got 50+
teachers at a
K-12 school, each with their own voice mail box (plus a dozen DPTs for
staff). Here are the key elements, as I recall:

1) Assign an unused real extension to a phantom extension
2) Setup a mailbox on the TVS
4) [As Charles pointed out, very important:] ensure "all calls transfer
to mailbox" is set to NO on the TVS
3) Assign a MWL on a DSS, and/or DPT if you've got the spare button

In order to come up with 50+ extension numbers, I chose to reassign the
numbering scheme to use 21xx/22xx for real extensions, 2288 for the TVS
access, 25xx for the phantom extensions, and 27xx for some special
mailboxes .......but that's another story!

~~~~Joe
