Hello all. This is not necessarily a KXT specific question, but I was hoping someone on here might know the answer.
I have been involved with setting up a new 3x T1 installation and I had to complete the wiring from the smart jack on the wall (the small box with the T1 cards in it) to the T1 Cisco router. The Smart Jack has space for 4 cards in it, and each one has an RJ45 connector under it. The Cisco Router has the corresponding RJ45 jacks on the back for each of the 3 T1 lines that we are going to use. The actual cable that goes from the Smart Jack to the Router - should it just be a standard Cat 6 Ethernet Cable? Not a special crossover / other type of cable? AT&T tried to get the circuit up yesterday, and reported a problem with the line. They were never able to communicate from the router to the Smart Jack. I just want to make sure I didn't screw it up by using the wrong type of cable. Thanks, Jason Zimberoff Prime Systems, Inc. (630) 681-2100 x 141 [EMAIL PROTECTED]
