If the time can be CHANGED, it's the crystal.

Replace small clock crystal about mid cpu board. Or carefully remove 
glue from crystal leads and circuit board.  There is the possibility the 
corroded leads will not survive the cleaning. Coat the leads and the 
board area around the crystal with clear lacquer or varnish  The 
cleaning should be done on any system that has the organic brown glue. 
(later white paint is ok)
