Hello Michael I don't think its a Ubuntu issue. I was checking the languages available for the 4.4 version ( http://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/?lang=pick) and it doesn't show up there either nor on http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/pre-releases/
