If you click on your name (top right) and then edit your settings, you can select alternative source languages (Russian in your case) and you will get this behavior.
Also, it would be a nice addition to be able to create a type of dictionary for each language that would act as a suggestion for certain terms that can be translated in more than one way.
There are ongoing talks about this, but Pootle will already suggest how similar strings are translated.
As for the errors you reported, if there is anything not browser-related (the latest messages seem to clarify that there are some problems with Chrome) please report it. But the procedure you are following is OK.
