I have found, that I can call

for example. But I see no place in the UI to use such "kid"? (It seems
we need a Pootle HowTo.)

Hi Mechtilde, Regina, so it works! :-) Well, the i90ggt and b22tkn are
KeyIDs, but of course I hoped it would run a little bit further than
that. We must have something incompatible in our systems, buildbots are
best here since they are very generic.

To be precise, I configured with
--with-lang="it kid" --with-package-format="archive rpm"
to add the "archive" format and the "kid" language.
