That is the actual page, yes.
Is that the one that you are updating?
No. I sent an e-mail when I ended my holidays asking for a"test site"
and I got no answer, so I'm actually trying to make a new one from scratch.
The existing ones seemed too complicated to me and very, very, .... out
of date.
So I searched the Internet, found a few sites where the essential
HTML,CSS and JS language codes are taught and I'm trying to create a new
set of pages from there and some examples I took from another open code
software I recently helped translate (excellent home designer by the
name of Sweet Home 3D, http://www.sweethome3d.com/index.jsp).
I'm using Notepad++ (http://notepad-plus-plus.org/)
<http://notepad-plus-plus.org/> and some useful plug-ins I found to edit
the new code, hoping that it´s OK. Most of the code was copied using ASF
bookmarklet into Notepad++. I cut some parts, either by not being
available anymore or for being long overdue.
Icons are manipulated with Greenfish Icon Editor
(http://greenfishsoftware.blogspot.hu/2012/07/greenfish-icon-editor-pro.html),
all made with open code software.
Five things I need to know:
1 - Can I replace the existing code without permission of the previous
creators?
2 - Is the footer (with the feather and copyrights,...) automatically
inserted?
3 - I haven't found the common header yet but I've seen it translated in
several other languages. Where is it?
4 - What are the legal obligations that have to be in the pages (images,
announcements, etc.)?
5 - If I add my own images, do they have to have Copyrights?
So far, this is what I know for sure is needed. Should I send you the
files, Rob?
Thank you Christos, I got the link to sourceforge.net and that is the
one I'll use until (hopefully) the Portuguese - PT site is up(to date).
Especially for Ricardo Berlasso, I found a plug-in to Notepad++ that
does the conversion while editing, http://fossil.2of4.net/npp_htmltag.
Avoids a lot of copying and pasting, but your tip was great. Thanks again.
One more time, sorry for disturbing you, thanks,
Pedro
