In the previous email, if I had caused to you an agressive attitude, then I would like to apologize for that.
As the process of "retire" and "brand new" situation of page and the way of maintaining OpenOffice, I knew, some of the function may be off and on or updated. But, Mailing list is just an issuse. More important than that, is the forum. Following my information, the forum for Vietnamese has been closed, the users just can have the ability to access to read, not post or do something like that. Why? Because, there were so much spammers that post weird things inside the forums. The point is. I asked for the position of maintaining the mailing list to: 1. Unite the Vietnamese Community on OpenOffice since a lot of them has moved to Libre Office. Why? In Libre, they have a mailing list, a forums. And when the users have questions, they post by both email and post on the mailing list and forums. 2. I know, patient is a good way to join in the Apache Openoffice, but, as a Vietnamese, I cant let so many people, who love OpenOffice, have question and want to have a playground for them, now they dont. And they move to Libre. 3. So, at least, "patient" is a good way to deal with, but the content for Vietnamese Localization for Website (I am currently translating it, would be finished soon), the Vietnamese L10 needs to have Mailing List to gather more people to involve in. Besides, is the forums. When I maintain the mailing list, then I will set up and join in the process for the Vietnamese Forums. 4. Number of maintainers, as you said, is important, but, here, you have a Vietnamese guy, who love to do that. Mailing list+Vietnamese Forums+Website localization is the key to spread out AOO to Vietnamese Community. And I suggested all these things because following my mind, this is the right thing to do in this time.
