I do ti this way
po2oo -l ${l} -t ${TEMPLATES} --keeptimestamp --skipsource
${WORK_DIR}/${l} ${WORK_DIR}/new_${l}.sdf
l = the lang id, e.g. de or en_US
TEMPLATES = aoo40-4_en-US.sdf, the latest template file
WORK_DIR = the local dir
After that I run
tr -d '\015' <${WORK_DIR}/new_${l}.sdf | sed -e"s/${l}/${LT}/g" >
${WORK_DIR}/new_${l}_.sdf
where
l = is the same as above
LT = is in case of en_US -> en-US
Pootle use a different syntax as we in our sources, don't ask me why
