Make sure your OOo and the langpack have the same revision.

- Set Locale, and default language for document to be "Vietnamese"

It's also important to understand that you don't need _both_ the full install and the language pack. These are alternatives: • the full install gives you a complete Vietnamese interface, including the Help: install this if you want to get the latest features and the latest translation • the language pack can be added to a current OpenOffice.org version, to give you Vietnamese as another option, so you can switch between the English and Vietnamese interfaces, for example. There are now quite a few different language packs listed for Linux, and I'm not sure I understand the purpose of all of them. Especially if this is your first OpenOffice.org install in Vietnamese, I'd advise you to install the full version. Please feel free to ask more questions. We would prefer you use Vietnamese on this list, but if you are more comfortable in English, we will get by. ;)
