The problem is the following :
when the client send the authentication in PAP :
sent [PAP AuthReq id=0x8 user="alpha@XX" password=idden>]
I receive that on the LNS side :
rcvd [proto=0x1] 01 00 25 1b 61 6c 70 68 61 40 69 70 31 30 2e 61 6c 70 68 61 6c 69 6e
6b 2e 69 70 61 64 73 6c 04 ...
that's confused pppd a bit who don't find the password
In fact I should have proto=PAP_NUMBER and not 0x1
When I loook at the IP packet all seems fine the user name and the
password are here (exactly like they are leaving the client)
I don't know where to look :
Is this a LAC problem ( packet comme from a redback lac from a pppoe
client)
Is this a rp-l2tp problem (with pppoe)?
