If you look at recent submitted works into the workshop, you can see a
lot of material that does not belong there due to copyright reasons.
It's painfull to report them all one by one. Someone should check up on
that since all the new stuff gets buried in pretty fast due to those.
I had issues when trying to upload from my old WinXP pc, however i kinda
fixed the issue by upgrading (not due to get upload working though) my
4.5 years old pc to brand new one. So that's that and now if i'm lucky
the campaign could be featured. Open Road -

If by new forums you mean the Steam discussions and not the Steampowered
forums, that's a good idea. Steampowered forums, sub forums are very
useless and no one bothers to browse them for some reason.
Workshop itself works fine, i just hope that there would be a system
where servers could also subscribe somehow to campaigns and get them
automatically. It's very frustrating to keep downloading and then
uploading to server itself. Atleast a direct wget url for file in the
workshop with a bzip2 pack would be cool.

Now that it has been up and running for a little bit.
What issues are people having? Is there a reason you aren't using it? What
can we change to help?
One change coming - we will be allowing mods to run on our servers in co-op but
not versus.
We will also be working with some 3rd party server companies to get free/low
cost options for communities.
The reasoning here is, with the custom campaigns and new stuff we are adding,
the ability to broadcast your config in a concise matter will be tough so by
letting you run a server, you can set that up and broadcast to the community
outside of match making the status.
We are also going back to featuring campaigns on our servers starting this
week. Let me know if you would be interested in seeing yours featured - for
that you have to be in the workshop.
We are also using this list less and the new forums more - would it be helpful
to have a dedicated modding/mapping forum and have the list discussions there?
Lastly, if you have been around and want to be in the beta group for the new
scripting tools coming out - let me know by replying privately to me and please
include a link with your current work. We are looking to distribute these
first to experienced modders and then open it up to people less familiar with
the current tools.
thanks
