Hi David, Our doodle is 7 months old and we have some of the same issues. She is alone a lot and goes crazy with guests. Our closest friends have now taken to ignoring her for ten minutes when they first arrive and it seems to be working (one washes her bands when she arives!). For me I cross my arms and say off. She NEVER jumps on me anymore. As far as other dogs, we met a Newfoundland that calmed her down on being too friendly. Good Luck.
