I can tell you on my Lab, that digging was/sometimes is a problem. Ours is an outdoor dog (until Sunday, then she is... gulp... coming in to have her puppies).
She is getting to be calmer, especially with pregnancy, but when she first see us is hyper in the morning. I was told that youthful energy is a two year stint on Labs, so I would assume the same for labradoodles. (Poodles are high energy as well) I also read that dogs dig for two reasons...boredom....and to keep cool. What we did was get a wading pool (like for kids) and filled it with water and she is better having that. She likes (before winter) to put her head only in the water and walk all the way around the pool with her head under water (maybe an inherited desire to look for fish? LOL) whatever the reason, it is funny to watch, and in the heat of summer she got in the pool and walked around. Carla -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus.
