Shari,

Thank you for your wonderful and insightful posts. That too is what I expect from this list and agree with you 100 percent on what you had to say.

I can't remember what site  Michenette said she visited about mini-doodles, but Birdwalk Farms, on this list has some nice mini-doodles too, so Michenette if you haven't looked at their site, you should.

I once adopted a rescue from a shelter - an Irish Setter - this was long before I had any dog experience, and the dog was so wild it could clear a 7 foot kitchen breakfast bar in one leap. Never could get that dog to settle down.

My organization is  breeding, raising and training a couple of litters of standard doodles as service dogs. This is our first dealings with doodle puppies and we are learning a lot. We are currently developing a puppy raising manual and do research, research, research every day. Right now the problem I am seeing most as a trainer is that in a great percentage of doodles less than one year old is excitement  and submissive urination. I do believe this is a real poodle thing, (most poodle breeders deny) but 90 percent of every poodle I've dealt with does it to some degree, and 100 percent of every cockapoo I've dealt with does it too. Yet, I rarely see a lab with this problem. I have, but it's rare.

I joined this list in hopes of gaining information, but lately I've only gained a distaste for certain members who seem bent on trashing the breed as well as flaming the people on this list. Fairly soon, I will be leaving the list if they continue.
