Hey All, I posted here before when I had my labradoodle and as some of you know Cody only lived to be 6 months old. That having been said we now have a goldendoodle who is very dear but we can't control him on the leash! He pulls like crazy and when we see other people or dogs he jumps around and twists to get out of the collar. He loves other dog, people and especially children. We've tried the method of stopping when he pulls and waiting till he slacks on the leash and then treat and praise. We tried turning and walking in the other direction and when he comes up NEXT to us use treating and praise but still haven't found a way to get him to stop. (Bailey is 12 mo. old, we got him at 6 months old.) When he pulls he strains so hard I'm afraid he's going to choke himself or do damage to his throat. Does anyone have any suggestions? We're thinking perhaps a harness of some sort....we're open to ANY suggestions.....
