Try a gentle leader. It fits over the nose and around the ears. You connect the leash to the ring on the leader. When he tries to pull, the leash connected to the leader will force his head to the side, and dogs don't like that. He will stop pulling soon and you won't have to take any "corrective" action. They are very reasonably priced, come in multiple sizes, and available at any pet store or on line. BTW, your dog won't like it but it will correct that pulling behavior. Good luck!
