Thank you for the suggestions! I've tried some without much
success.... I'm sitting here right now ignoring her barking as I type. (Sigh) I
hope no one was misled when I said that she was 3 months old. She's actually 14
weeks old... I got her at the ripe old age of 7 weeks.
I
posted a picture of my Molly as Molly Doodle.
Again, thank you all for the suggestions.

Hi
Cheryl: This is a real
coincidence, because I have a 15 week old multigen also named Molly. My Molly
has been with us for 5 weeks. I haven’t had a dog since I was a kid, so all of
this puppy training is new to me, and I’m learning as I go
along. My Molly barks
sometimes too. She is usually barking at something (like brooms or things that
roll on wheels), although sometimes she barks for no apparent reason. I have
been carrying a small spray bottle (as someone else suggested), but I am using a
25% white vinegar rather than just water. I spray a cloud of mist only when she
is actually barking, and then give her lots of praise when she is quiet. If I am
in the house or not nearby, I do my best to ignore her. When she is sitting
quietly, I come out to play with her. She has just had the
last of her parvo/influenza/etc. puppy shots, so we have been out exploring. I’m
hoping that more exercise will help with this. We start puppy classes next week
(Sirius Puppy Training), and I have a dog trainer who is training me to do the
right things. These doodles are so
smart, and my Molly seems to learn bad behaviors as quick as she can learn good
behaviors. Some times she is an angel dog, and other times a devil dog. I keep
wondering what I am doing that is giving rise to this or that new behavior.
You can see pictures of
Molly in the photo section. I just added a couple of new
ones. Good luck…

[email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Cheryl Hi,
I'm the proud
"mama" of a 3 month old chocolate. I've been lurking since Molly came to live
with me 7 weeks ago. I've always owned Labs before her (since 1974). Molly
barks... and barks.... and barks.... and barks. No rhyme or reason to it. Does
anyone have any suggestions for dealing with it? I know the chewing will
run its course, but I don't want the barking to become
habit. Help! Cheryl
