Sherri,   I really enjoyed your post.   I never liked standard poodles until I met one !!   I am a lab lover and the poodles I have met have the same nature that I love in the labs.  I think poodles have a bad rap, too.   You seem very knowledgable on breeding and lineage.   I have always wondered at what point you can breed back to a previous generation.    I have heard that you can breed great, great , great ( 3 generations) back to the original sire.   Is that true?    At what point could you safely do that?   I wouldn't think of in breeding but I have an awesome stud that i would want to use more than once. Can you give me your veiwpoint on that?   Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
