Kelly, you mis-read my post.  I was saying that POODLES have stupid hair cuts.  And you obviously did not read the whole thing.  I love almost all dogs, I am a trainer, writer of dog articles and dog photographer.  I never put anyone or their dog down.

Most people who don't want a poodle but want a doodle do so because of the stupid hair do.
I think this is a very nasty thing to say.  If you dislike Doodles so much, why are you on this list?  You say Doodles have a stupid hair do and then say your poodles look just like them that people can't tell the difference?

My husband and I are both allergic to dogs.  My younger son is hysterically afraid of dogs.  I have been researching the "right" dog for our family for about 5 years, and Doodles specifically for about three.  I considered the standard poodle but because poodles can be high strung, I felt it wasn't the dog breed for our family.  The multi-gen Doodles are known for their mellow temperament and that was very important in helping my son get over his fear (he is doing very well interacting with Farley, btw)

I also volunteer at our local animal shelter, and I have fallen in love with so many dogs there that I would have loved to bring home, but because of the allergies, I couldn't.  I took a lot of time in choosing a dog for our family and I guess I just get a bit defensive when people make such flip statements such as I only wanted a designer dog or I bought it for it's hair do.
