Hi Kelly,
Cindy here....I own http://www.doodlesandpoos.com and can sympathize 
with your....I get such backlash everyday from people.  My site 
leads people to doodle and poo dogs be it through rescues or 
breeders.  I have gotten so many hate letters from people that you 
can't imagine.  From what I can tell, it seems to be that since they 
are not considered a "breed" yet, people get really nuts about it.  
But as we all know they are just as loving as any other dog!  I love 
my labradoodle and my cockapoo!  My Labradoodle is from rescue and 
my cockapoo from a breeder.
Any dog can misbehave as we all know if they are not spent time with 
a trained with kindness. (your neighbors probably)
Chin up and don't let them get to you!!
