Hi Tim,

I got to the splash screen of the installer. Here is how:

I downloaded a fresh MW core from gerrit to public_html and tried
to access it from the web. That yields:

Internal error

The URI you have requested, /owintes/mw/, appears to be
non-functional at this time.

A brief check reveals that index.php calls
wfEntryPointCheck( 'index.php' );
which produces the error.

Any ideas what I may have made wrong? Last time, when I did
the same, about 10 months
ago, I got a lot further before the 1st error occurred. ;-)

I tried that once and gave up as well :-). So if someone
wants to document their successful way at
https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Tool_Labs, much ap-
preciated.

*But*: For any /development/ of MediaWiki or an extension
that needs a test installation viewable by the public (and
not just wants to use MediaWiki as a UI for a tool), I would
highly recommend MediaWiki-Vagrant in Labs
(https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:MediaWiki-Vagrant_in_Labs).

Tim
