Actually no, turns out Rand also uses seconds (not milliseconds) and can be 
gamed.

generate some pseudorandom numbers and I want to use the rightmost digit of a 
timestamp for that reason but I want to make sure it is not feasible to game 
the system, so timestamps that are only down to the second are not going to cut

Other ideas about how to generate pseudorandom numbers using MW data are 
welcome.

 

PS: I wish we had a rand parse function.
