Hi All, I think Scholastic Books were the first ones who said they'd
publish the first Harry Potter. She had a number of rejections - 8 or 10 I
think. They just reran the "60 Minutes" segment they did on her when Book 3
came out. She has a charming literary agent named Christopher Little and
I'm betting she can pretty much write her own contract now.

My book has all its pages and I would be horrified to get one without but
they did publish 8.5 million copies. I don't think I could make 8.5 million
of the same thing and get them all the right <G>.

DH had the book *all* day after he got home yesterday! At least I got a
turn at it this morning. Now if I could just get him to do the laundry and
cook dinner I'd have more time to read today!

On that note I'd better stop writing e-mail! Love, Jane in Vermont, USA
