Ooooh! yes! I'd forgotten "Daps". For some reason my older brother used to call them "daps" sometimes.....we lived not all that far from Wales (in Keynsham, halfway between Bristol and Bath) but it was before the bridges made it easier to get there. Maybe it was a term he picked up at school - maybe from a teacher from Wales?
