It's all Tamara's fault, of course. She started it. This morning my computer wouldn't shut down. Asked if I wanted to 'End task' - yes. Still didn't shut down. Asked again - yes. Still didn't shut down. By this time the bits that would shut the computer down had been ended with 'End task'. So I did a reboot. It started scanning the disk for errors, while telling me that I hadn't shut down properly, and in order to avoid having to scan the disk, please remember to go through the correct shut down sequence in future. GRRR.
Then DH switched on, composed a long email. The computer froze. He got himself out of that by 'End tasking' Outlook Express but lost his email. Then he yelled the stupid computer was playing up and would I come and sort it out before be threw it through the window. Clicking on the Outlook Express icon on the task bar produced a window telling us it was a shortcut to launch Outlook Express, but it didn't launch it. I tried double clicking on the same icon on the desktop and it launched Outlook Express. So I told him to manage with that till I had time to look into the problem with the one on the taskbar later. When he'd finished his session he switched off. I've just sat at the computer to sort the problem out. What problem? Outlook Express launched from the icon on the toolbar. Well, it's a computer isn't it? and a Bill Gates operating system at that. I had no problem printing the folded star ornament. I do a print preview before I print any web page because I never know if it's going to print the whole page, just the frame selected (how do I know which one's selected?) or each frame on a separate piece of paper or nothing at all. Sometimes I get a choice of those options in the print preview. Jean in Poole To unsubscribe send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] containing the line: unsubscribe lace-chat [EMAIL PROTECTED]
