Of course I have buttons - lots of them. Some are still on their cards, real treasures, others are in the round and oblong tin boxes I inherited from various relatives. The boxes, often advertising tobacco, are probably collectors items in themselves. Then there are plastic bags of unsorted buttons - whenever will I have thetime to do that? Pearl buttons on card covered with silver foil are far too nice to use. I never seem to have the right number to put onto any garment - there is aways one tantalising button missing.
Buttons from my Grandmother include some lovely Victorian ones in Jet, crystal glass and ornamental metal. Others are the old-fashioned linen buttons once used on pillow-cases and underwear. At one time there was a good Button Museum in Ross-on-Wye. but I believe it is closed now. Buttons are good items for a Collector to begin with as many are still available in Charity shops, car-boot sales etc. Have button-fun Angela in Worcestershire UK [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] containing the line: unsubscribe lace-chat [EMAIL PROTECTED] For help, write to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
