if that red worm had eyes, then i wasn't a worm. maybe a worm like a
catapillar. it definitely isn't an earth worm. you can cut them in
half and they grow into two different worms. is there such a thing as
a red snake? was it a lizard? or a salamander? salamanders are red
sometimes, but they are a lizards. i think they change colors too.
they say it is cruel to kill the silkworm before it leaves the caccoon.
that is how most of the better silk is made. they let the little worm
die and then unspin the caccoon. if the thing lives then the caccoon
is opened at one end and can only be gathered and spun like cotton. it
is about as strong as cotton too i think, but maybe stronger. it is
strongest when it is unspun from the cacoon. i don't remember the name
of it, but when you buy fiber to spin, they sell both kinds. but,the
better is the one that lets the worm die.
utah has got to have some pretty ugly bugs. isn't it farm territory?
don't tell me they sick all those ugly beetles and hardshell bugs on
the southern states because then i'll think it is a curse! lol!
i have no idea what the new enland worm is, but i'll ask again to find
out. my dad told me what they were.
