I love Tetleys extra strong tea made with soft Scottish water but rarely drink coffee, love the smell but the taste never matches up to the promise and it gives me palipitations if it's at all strong. Actually my favourite tipple is tap water.

Jenny, I'm with you on the coffee - one of the saddest disappointments of my adult life. Gives me a very sad tummy no matter how much milk and how little coffee, so I gave up trying...after decades of being tempted by my parents' Chemex-pot coffee (glass flask with paper filter in the top half), which smelled so heavenly.

So I drink tea. I walk into work, go straight to the kitchen, fill the hot-pot with four cups of water and turn it on, walk to my cube, dump my junk, turn on the computer, read the first couple of e-mails, trek back to the kitchen with the teapot, and put in a teabag (at work, dealing with leaves is just too much - and they provide the teabags)... usually Constant Comment (black tea with cinnamon and cloves), Lemon Lift (black tea with lemon), Earl Grey (black tea with oil of bergamot), or English breakfast. Walk back to my desk... Someone gave me a mug-warmer hot plate, so I can keep it from getting cold when I get engrossed in the programming. Not ideal for the delicate parts of the flavor, but it does taste better warm than cold. The pot lasts a couple of hours, with a tea cozy over it.

Since I'm often out at lunch, sadly I break down and drink Diet Coke... never did get used to tea with dinner-type Italian food.
