Bev, The names Tara and Dana seem to have varied pronunciation as well - tah-ra or tair-a, da-na (short a) and day-na (long a short a). Drives me nuts when I'm reading children's names off their nametags when I do classroom visits :p
And yet here in Australia we would say Dah-na and Tah-ra: never anything different with those two.
