A graham cracker is a cookie passing itself off as health food. Dr. Graham promoted the idea of faking whole-grain flour by adding wheat germ and wheat bran to unbleached flour, and invented a cracker that became very popular after sugar was added to the recipe and the bran and wheat germ were reduced or eliminated.
