I stand by saying that you can't legally copy a pattern out of a magazine to give someone. The writer of the question was NOT the copyright holder or designer. If the designer or c.holder gives permission, fine. Then it is legal. It never hurts to contact the copyright holder and ask. But a handful of people start emailing me privately and yelling at me for commenting on something the designer of a pattern posted. I did NOT respond to her post, it was a different one. Yeesh.
