I thought I saw a third book on the subject at IOLI. Holly had the two mentioned by Jeri, but I thought Mayra (can't think of her company's name, she was in the far left corner as you entered the sales room) had the Bouvot book and a different alternative book. Of the three, it was Bouvot that I fell so madly in love with. Louise Colgan brought it to a workshop on color in lace. I seriously considered buying the other book(s) when I saw it/them at IOLI, but neither seemed worth it once I had Bouvot. The other book(s) were more text and more history, but in French. I can piece together enough French to figure out patterns, but it's very difficult and I wouldn't read text in French, so I didn't get it/them.
Now maybe I was confused and Mayra and Holly had the same two books. I did tend to hyperventilate while in that sales room and may have been too lightheaded to realize they were duplicates. But for those who want more info, be alert that there may be a third book available. For those going to Ithaca, I'm sure Holly will have any books on the subject available, since there's a class on the subject (I didn't get in--I'm just SOOOOOOO bummed!). Robin P.
