Does this seller know that these are lacemaking bobbins? Interesting that the seller uses "bobbines" rather than "fuseaux" which I always thought was the French word for lacemaking bobbin. And, as far as my French takes me, the description says "[bobbins]... that were used to make passementerie embroideries". I've never completely understood what is passementerie and what isn't, but I think it's some kind of couched ribbon ...
