<VBG> A lop-sided lappet? A bra for an Amazon? Since the items are unlikely to be painted in situ and in oils (the way lappets had ben) and photos aren't all that durable, there'll be no clue to guide them... :)

Also from the above site, you can choose Hafty Krzyzykowe (cross stitch) and see a selection of works (also for sale, made to order) by a team of mother and daughter. The first one is the prettiest (IMO) but some others, being more practical, might give people more ideas on how to use their lace. As Cinde/Samrah said, lace can be used almost anywhere embroidery is used...
