I usually print my pattern on a colored paper and use matte contact plastic to cover it. If I use two colors in a pattern I get confused :-) if one of the threads have a color that is similar to the plastic or paper so I have some colors to choose from, but mostly I use blue or yellow paper and white if I have a colored thread.
