Bad idea. The sticky pages don't age well. And the lace will be ruined.

As a temporary solution (and note the word temporary), they could be put in a notebook in the see through plastic sheet protectors. Storing in plastic is not recommended, but while you are deciding just what to do with the completed pieces of lace, they could be in a notebook, easily visible, and protected from fingers while they are being looked at. These sheet protectors do not have glue-adhesive on them, and are open at the top for ventilation.

This will give you time to think about the permanent home of the various pieces. Some might end up on a quilt, vest (weskit), bobbin roll, pincushion, scissor case, totebag, shirt collar or pocket, gift card, framed picture or collage, paper weight, ruler, coaster, Christmas ornament, book cover, placemat, inside a glass bobbin,....... and the list goes on.

Meanwhile, if you haven't already done so, put one of them on a luggage tag and send to the Lace Guild. There's still six weeks before the due date of the tags for the lacemakers census. Details are on the Lace Guild webpage.

Happy lacing,
Alice
